    How do I find and customize my Canvas course list?

    Recover Missing or Deleted Content in Canvas

    To recover missing or deleted content in Canvas:

    1. From within the relevant Canvas course, find the course ID in your browser's URL bar. The course ID is the number following https://canvas.park.edu/courses/.
    2. Remove everything following the course ID except the forward slash (  / ), and add the word undelete. The new URL will look similar to this:

      https://canvas.park.edu/courses/1234567/undelete

    1. Press Enter.
    2. Click Restore next to the appropriate item(s).
    3. Click OK. Your item(s) should now be restored.

    Can I send messages to students in Canvas based upon a particular assignment?

    Yes!

     

    You can use the Gradebook to send messages to your students. Message subjects are filtered based on specific assignment categories:

     

    Haven't submitted yet—students who haven't submitted the assignment. This category does not include students who have been manually awarded a grade, even if they did not submit the assignment. Once a grade has been awarded for an assignment (either automatically or manually), Canvas no longer verifies actual submissions.

     

    Haven't been graded—students whose assignments have not yet been graded (submitted or unsubmitted).

     

    Scored less than [point value]—students who earned a grade on their assignment less than X number of points.

     

    Scored more than [point value]—students who earned a grade on their assignment more than X number of points.

    How do I validate links in a course?

    As an instructor, you can verify all external links throughout your course to ensure they are valid. You can check these links using the course link validator, which searches through course content and returns invalid or unresponsive external links.

    How do I publish courses, modules, or assignments/discussions/ quizzes in Canvas?

    You must publish a course before students can access it and its contents. Students cannot see unpublished courses and its content.
