Bio
Dr. Carmenaty served as a San Antonio Police Officer for 30 years before retiring from active service as a public servant. Since then, Dr. Carmenaty joined Park University in Parkville, Missouri in the Fall of 2022 as an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice Administration.
Dr. Carmenaty received her associate and bachelor’s degrees in criminal justice and criminology at Wayland Baptist University, before earning her Master of Public Administration at St. Mary’s University. While still active as a public servant, Dr. Carmenaty earned her Doctor of Philosophy from Our Lady of the Lake University, specializing in Criminal Justice Organizational Leadership and Strategy. The culmination of her scholarly journey has come full circle, progressing from learning from the leading textbook authors in organizational leadership and strategy, to teaching its principles alongside the same experts, and ultimately contributing as a published author within the very same prestigious work.
