    Teaching Essentials Cert.

    The Teaching Essentials certification consists of five fully online, self-paced modules which provide best teaching and learning practices and examples from the field for all levels of instructors (both novice and experienced instructors). Each module requires a review of approximately 1-3 hours of content, along with activities and reflective exercises. The modules offer information that can immediately be applied in the classroom to improve and expand upon one’s existing teaching practice.

  • Criteria

    Complete all 5 Teaching Essentials modules:
    • Module 1: Planning Class Sessions,
    • Module 2: Facilitating Discussions,
    • Module 3: Engaging & Motivating Students,
    • Module 4: Providing Effective Feedback, and
    • Module 5: Using Student & Peer Feedback to Improve Teaching
